The proceeds from this sale will be used for the Auxiliary’s charitable giving and for purchasing materials for quilts for church’s high school graduates.
A special thank you goes to Jim Ranstrom, Brian Ranstrom and David Gehrls for all the time and effort it took to clean and polish the Social Hall floor. It looks beautiful! And also, thanks to all who helped move the tables and chairs back into the Social Hall after Mass last Saturday. All of your efforts are truly appreciated.
To all parishioners of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church,
Thank you so much for all of your support for my seminary studies, especially through the breakfast held by the Knights of Columbus on January 22. I greatly appreciate it. The collection from the breakfast will go toward my education at St. Mary's University of Minnesota and priestly formation at Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary, both in Winona, Minnesota. It is such a blessing knowing that I have so many supporters back home, not only financially but also spiritually through all of your prayers. God is truly a generous giver. My time in the seminary has been wonderful, and I really enjoy being here. I thank you all again for your prayers and support as I continue to pursue my studies in the seminary and discern God's calling. Know that you are in my prayers also. Please continue to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life, especially in the Diocese of Crookston!
In Christ,
Jordan Ranstrom

from the Pastor's Desk..........
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
“Come, let us worship God who holds the world and its wonders in his creating hand.”
Lent is near (in February). Time flies fast. The Ash Wednesday Service will be on February 22, at 7:30 pm at Warren. It is a day of fast and abstinence.
Thank you very much for your generous contributions during the Christmas season to our Church. The liturgical prayer is getting better and better since the new translation has been introduced. Please socialize after the Mass, you can meditate before the Mass starts.
Please note that there will be a Blessing of the Throats and healing prayer to honor St. Blaise on Saturday February 4, at 5 p.m, during the week-end Mass. There will be no Sunday Mass on the next day.
I am completing 24 years of my Ordination on February 7. Please pray for me.
To make our parish a vibrant one, we ought to live and promote Evangelization as directed by the Synod, prepared by the Diocese of Crookston. For that we have to explore the possibilities of new activities to make our parish vibrant.
To promote leadership and bring out talents, there will be a Lenten Mission, by Mike McNeil, administrator of St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Forest City, MN on Saturday March 24th at 5 pm followed by the week-end Mass. This is to observe the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council when Pope Benedict XVI will be announcing the Special Year of Faith beginning on October 11, 2012.
A Marian Pilgrimage will be on Sunday March, 25th. It will start with Adoration and Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Euclid at 8 am followed by the Rosary at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Warren at 9:30 a.m, and ends with Mass and lunch at St. Joseph's Church, Oslo.
It is good to attend all these three events so that you will be able to visit the three churches in our area, and interact with other parishioners. Car pooling will be available if you call the office or the Pastor. Please register your name so that we can arrange for lunch and refreshments. Free will offering will be accepted.
The Lenten Reconciliation in our parish will be on Tuesday March 27 at 6:30 p.m (after the Mass) for adults and on the next day at 6:30 p.m for the children. Many priests will be helping us on those days.
We are looking for volunteers for church cleaning, RE co-ordination, janitors help, and Pastor's assistance, etc. to reduce the expenses, as well as to encourage volunteerism in our parish. If you are interested, please contact the office or me.
Send us your E- mail address so that we can forward our news bulletin and other urgent communications. We encourage you to view the website (www.Stspeterandpaulchurch.org) and read the church bulletin.
My skiing is improving as like golfing.
Happy Easter.
Yours in Christ
