XLT

All youth entering grades 9 and older are invited to XLT (Exalt) at the Cathedral on Wednesday nights at 7:30.

What happens at XLT?  Great speakers, praise and worship, adoration, and food and fellowship with other youth from across the diocese.  Need a ride?  Call the Ranstroms at 745-4905 or 210-0756.

Remember in your prayers……

†  Our parish has been blessed through our youth who have answered God’s call to attend camps and retreats this summer.  Remember in your prayers Brooke Bauer, Payton Gullikson, Paige Pederson, Jessica Korynta, and Jordan Ranstrom.  May the Holy Spirit continue to work in them and through them.

†  It is through your generous financial support in Sunday collections and at the youth fund raisers that our young people are able to attend such events.  May all of you be blessed for your generosity.

† Please pray also in a special way for Jordan Ranstrom who will begin his discernment for the priesthood at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary at St. Mary’s University in Winona this August.

† ADORATION  †

We complain about the cross we bear but don’t

realize it is preparing us for the dip in the road

that God can see and we can’t.

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,

There will always be sunshine, after the rain…

Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall,

But God’s always ready, to answer your call…

He knows every heartache, sees every tear,

A word from His lips, can calm every fear…

Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,

But suddenly vanish, dawn’s early light…

The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,

To give you His grace, and send you His love…

God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage!

A Prayer for Priests and Priestly Vocations

Heavenly Father, please grant to Your faithful servants, the grace and strength to carry out Your mission for  the church each day.  Keep our priests close to You and continue to inspire them to serve others in Your holy name.  Please help to inspire men who are called to a priestly vocation to answer Your call and participate in the  fullness that You have planned for them.  Amen.

A Prayer for Peace

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love.

When there is injury, pardon.  Where there is doubt, faith.

Where there is despair, hope.  Where there is darkness, light.

And where there is sadness, joy.  O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console.

To be understood, as to understand.  To be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying, that we are born to eternal life.

Amen
